The date in the title. Notes made with the “Lesson” template show the day next to the topic, so five lessons on the same author are easy to tell apart, in exports and notifications too.
The section with what the teacher stressed, or said would be asked, is now called “Flagged by the teacher”.
When something goes wrong, Scribeo says so
Summary cut short. If the summary of a very long recording stops before the end, the note says so above the summary and offers to regenerate it more concisely. The notice shows up on your other devices too.
iCloud full. Scribeo tells you at the top of your notes list for as long as it lasts: whether nothing is syncing, or only the audio is staying on the device that recorded it (notes and transcripts keep arriving). On your other devices, a note without audio explains where it stayed. Once there's room again, Scribeo picks up on its own.
Projects
A new project appears in its alphabetical place, on every device. If you arranged the order by hand, it stays as it is.
1.48.1September 2026
Two calendar fixes
Switching every calendar off now really empties the Home. In 1.48.0 the filter was saved correctly — no tick was left in the menu — but “Upcoming” still showed everyone's events, holidays included.
On Mac the calendar picker stays open while you switch calendars on and off, as it already did on iPhone: with seven calendars and two to keep, you no longer reopen the menu five times.
1.48.0September 2026
Classes
A note template for classes. Instead of decisions and actions — which come from a meeting — the note collects the concepts explained with the definition given in class, the definitions, formulas and dates, the worked examples, the points left open, what the teacher said would be asked, and the homework assigned with its due date. Pick it in Settings, under “Note template”.
Long notes no longer stop halfway. A summary now has far more room to be written in full, and a recording twice as long is accepted: an hour and a half of speech instead of forty minutes.
While you record
From the iPhone Lock Screen you can mark a moment, pause, or stop the recording without reopening the app, with the phone face up on the desk.
On the Home screen
Every calendar can be hidden. If you don't use the calendar, “Upcoming” stays empty instead of showing you everything. And on iPhone the calendar menu stays open while you switch them on and off, instead of closing at every tap.
In “Trends”, the breakdown is called “By project”, which is what it actually groups by.
On Mac, Help → “Scribeo Help” opens the guide.
1.47.0August 2026
Scribeo speaks English
The whole app, in the language you use it in. The recording screen, the initial setup, the system permission requests and the error messages all follow the language you chose — on Mac and on iPhone.
Dates follow the app's language, no longer your system's: if you chose English you read “Monday 3 August” even on a phone set to another language.
The technical report in “Report a problem” reads in your language.
Under the hood
A new check asks the compiler to list every piece of text the app can show, on both platforms: missing translations now surface before a release, not after.
1.46.0July 2026
Scribeo on your Home Screen
Widgets, on iPhone. Put Scribeo on your Home Screen, on the Lock Screen or in Control Centre and start recording with one tap — no hunting for the icon, no waiting. If a meeting is about to begin, the note attaches itself to it.
And the widget tells you what's ahead. You pick the list: today's meetings, your actions due, or your latest notes. Tapping a row opens that note. You can place two side by side, showing different lists.
On the Action button. The same Control Centre command can be assigned to your iPhone's Action button, if you have one.
Notes and meetings
Actions from a meeting you just recorded arrive where they belong — in “Actions”, in People and in your reminders — as checkboxes.
Audio recorded on your iPhone goes up to iCloud and plays back on your Mac, including recordings you had already made.
A transcript you have already formatted can be redone: on iPhone the “Reformat” button stays there after the first time, just like on the Mac.
Sharing and exporting
A shared page is governed only by whoever published it. Changing it or taking it offline requires the note's key — the one that travels in the link, and that the server never sees.
“Export” tells you how it went. If the file can't be written — disk full, folder not writable — you are told, instead of looking for an attachment that isn't there.
1.45.0July 2026
When something goes wrong, now you know
If something stops, you know while it's happening. If your phone runs out of space halfway through a meeting, or the microphone stops delivering audio, the waveform used to keep moving and the timer kept running: everything looked normal, and you only found out once the meeting was over. Now Scribeo tells you there and then — and tells you what's safe.
Switching headphones mid-meeting no longer interrupts the recording. AirPods running out of battery, or connecting while you're recording: the track carries on, in one piece.
If the audio isn't saved, the write-up still is. When the tracks can't be merged, your notes, the moments you marked and the meeting text are put somewhere safe anyway — instead of disappearing along with the audio.
The timer counts the minutes actually recorded. If a phone call comes in, time stops with the audio: so a moment you mark afterwards lands on the right sentence, not a few minutes further on.
«Complete» tells you how it went. Picking up an interrupted recording could fail silently, and the notice didn't come back until you restarted. Now you see the outcome, and the chance to try again stays there.
Calendar and notifications
A calendar you've hidden no longer notifies you. On iPhone, events from excluded calendars didn't appear on the Home screen, but the notifications arrived anyway — and once sent, there was no way to switch them off. Scribeo now asks the phone what it actually has queued and clears it, including anything left over.
On iPhone the reminders before a meeting can be switched off, same as on the Mac.
If you move a meeting in Calendar, Scribeo notices — on iPhone and on Mac.
Notes and syncing
A note written without a recording opens where the text is. On iPhone, notes born from «Challenge me», the Scratchpad or a link opened on the personal-notes tab — empty — and looked lost. They now open on the Summary, where the text actually is.
Taking a note out of a project now reaches your other device too. Before, the move undid itself on the next round.
An attachment you edit while it's syncing is no longer overwritten in silence, and a note deleted from another device no longer takes with it work that hadn't been uploaded from here yet.
On iPhone, syncing waits if you're recording or transcribing, instead of working underneath the meeting in progress.
Less pointless work: attachments and audio already downloaded aren't downloaded again on every round, and the change check no longer re-reads your whole archive every two minutes — you feel it in your phone's battery and in how responsive things are while you type.
Sharing, codes and language
A shared page can only be changed by whoever published it. Before, knowing the address was enough. Pages already online stay as they are; the protection starts the first time you publish again.
If an invite code won't redeem, Scribeo says the real reason. A network glitch or a malformed reply from the server is no longer reported as «invalid code».
In English: around ninety pieces of text that still showed up in Italian — the recording screen, error messages, the reminders before a meeting, settings — are now translated.
1.44.0July 2026
Choose your calendars on iPhone — and a round of fixes
On iPhone you decide which calendars you see. If you have more than one — work, home, the shared family one — all of them showed up among your upcoming events, with no way to say otherwise. Now you choose, from the Calendars menu on the Home screen or in Settings → Calendars to show. Same as on the Mac, and in both places that matter: where the annoyance appears and where you configure things.
A shared note's address no longer shows the key that opens it. In the Shared list the address is there to recognise a note, not to open it: the key stays where you ask for it, in «Copy link» and the sharing panel.
An action's owner has a single name. If you had merged two ways of naming the same person, the note could still show the old spelling while the Actions list showed the right one.
On iPhone, the Actions filters can be switched off. Once you picked «No owner» or «No due date», there was no way back to the full list without leaving the screen.
iPhone refinements: in onboarding the Reminders permission now responds to the first tap; a note's attachments sit in line with their paperclip; the project pill in lists is as discreet as on the Mac, so titles stay in front; and from a person's card a note can be moved to the bin too.
In English, the attachments screen and the «Trends» chart no longer show bits of Italian.
1.43.0July 2026
From a link to a note
Paste a link, get a note. A call recording on Google Drive or Dropbox, an mp3 someone sent you, an mp4: Scribeo downloads the file to your own computer — it never passes through our servers — transcribes it and writes the summary, exactly as if you had recorded it yourself. The Import button in the top right now asks where from: from a file or from a link.
If a link doesn't work, Scribeo says why — and what to do. A Drive file that isn't shared, the address of a page instead of a file, a YouTube video: each one gets its own explanation, instead of an error that doesn't help.
iPhone imports too. A voice message, a recording someone forwarded you: from this version the iPhone app also turns a file into a note — from a file or from a link, just like here.
Refinements
Tooltips no longer cover the buttons underneath them, and they read more clearly.
On iPhone, in the Notebook, the action to bin a note is finally in plain sight on the card instead of hidden behind a long press.
1.42.1July 2026
More robust recording on first launch
You can now record your voice even without having granted «Screen Recording». Before, if you hadn't granted that permission, recording wouldn't start at all; now Scribeo records your microphone anyway and explains how to also capture the other person's voice.
Clearer permissions. Onboarding explains «Screen Recording» better (grant it once, then restart Scribeo), and there's a new dedicated panel in Settings → Recording to manage them whenever you like.
1.42.0July 2026
Challenge me
An honest AI debrief of how you handled a call — not another summary. From a note's ••• menu, Scribeo re-reads the transcript and tells you what you did well, where you lost ground, what to change next time and the key moment — with the evidence, every point anchored to the minute it happened. It's private: it stays in your Notebook (with its own pill and a filter), out of the meeting summary and out of sharing. It's at its best on remote calls, where Scribeo tells your voice apart from the other person's; in person, with a single microphone, it stays more cautious and says so.
Refinements
Recording auto-stop kicks in sooner when the call is over; the «Stop recording» item in the menu bar now has its icon.
Clearer tooltips (Pause, Reformat, «Play from here») and a few tweaks to the transcript view.
1.41.0July 2026
The Notebook
Save «Ask Scribeo» answers to the Notebook. The cross-cutting overviews the AI puts together for you — the decisions made with a client, a person's still-open tasks — no longer slip away: one tap on «Save to Notebook» and they stay within reach, to read, export or move into a project.
The Notebook syncs across your devices. What you save on the Mac you'll find on iPhone and iPad, and vice versa — just like your notes.
In the iPhone app (beta)
The iPhone app is in development. Want an early look? Write to us at supporto@scribeo.it to join the beta.
Projects now have their own tab in the bottom bar: their colors, how many notes each one holds and, with one tap, all of a project's notes.
The left panel mirrors the Mac: Ask, Actions, Decisions, People, Insights and Trash, in the same order.
The «Dark» theme now applies even when the system is in light mode (and vice versa).
1.40.0July 2026
Your checkmarks stay put
Regenerating notes no longer clears the tasks you've already checked. Even when the AI rewrites a task with slightly different wording, the checkmark you set stays where it was — on your Mac and on the ones you sync.
Change a task's status from the row. Waiting, delegated or done: pick it straight from the Tasks list, without opening the note.
Tasks, cleaner
The Tasks filters are now dropdown menus, like in Decisions: group, pick the scope and status without filling the header with pills.
Refinements
More readable tooltips: the hints that appear on hover now wrap when needed and are no longer cut off at the window edges.
The Reminder button tells you right away how it went, and a highlighted task no longer «follows» from one note to another when you switch recordings.
1.39.0July 2026
A confirmation before you delete
Important deletions now ask for confirmation first: trash, projects, disabling a link, «Delete forever».
The moments you mark while listening now also appear at the top of the Summary, not just in the player.
Multiple selection in Tasks too: move, export or delete several tasks at once.
A task due today at a specific time now shows under «Today», no longer under «This week».
If transcription fails, your audio stays safe: we now tell you how to recover it with «Complete».
Refined plurals and wording.
1.38.5July 2026
Deleted stays deleted
When you permanently delete a note you just created, it can no longer reappear on your other Mac.
1.38.4July 2026
“Ask” refreshes on its own
When an “Ask” question arrives from another Mac, it now shows up right away in the open note, without reopening it.
1.38.3July 2026
Your “Ask” questions now sync
“Ask” now syncs across your Macs: your questions and answers show up on all of them, not just the one where you asked.
Tasks you add by hand carry a small “by hand” tag to tell them apart from the AI ones, both in the note and in the Tasks list.
1.38.2July 2026
Manual tasks show up in the note
A task you add by hand inside a note now shows up in the note, alongside the AI-generated ones — not just in the Tasks list. Still safe from a “Regenerate”.
In “Ask”, a new answer scrolls into view on its own: no more scrolling by hand to read it.
1.38.1July 2026
With two Macs, fewer surprises
A note you trash right after creating it no longer comes back on its own — an edge the previous fix missed.
On a second Mac, a note that just synced no longer asks you to regenerate the notes when you haven't touched them.
1.38.0July 2026
Now you can add tasks yourself
Create a task by hand, when the meeting didn't catch it: from the Tasks list, at the bottom of a note, or on the fly during a call with ⌃⌥⌘N. With an owner and a due date, just like the ones that come from the call — and they show up right away in Tasks and People.
In People, checking off a task no longer collapses the card you're working in.
Previous versions: restoring an older version no longer loses the one you were working on.
Free up space never leaves an incomplete audio copy in place of the original.
A snappier editor on long calls, cleaner reminders, and a bit more caution in syncing: attachments and transcripts, project order, incoming notes.
1.37.1July 2026
The trash does what you tell it
A note you move to the trash no longer comes back on its own, and a restored one doesn't slide back in. With sync on it could happen: an incoming update quietly undid what you'd just done, and it never made it back up. Now what you decide on your Mac holds — and reaches your other Macs.
1.37.0July 2026
Your recordings can follow you across all your Macs
Sync audio too. A second switch in Settings → Sync, off by default. Turn it on and a compressed copy of each meeting's recording is uploaded: about 14 MB per hour, to your private iCloud. You can replay the call on your other Mac, with clickable timestamps — and if the computer that recorded it dies, the audio isn't lost. The uncompressed audio stays on the Mac that recorded it: it's there to re-transcribe, not to replay.
If your iCloud storage runs out, your notes keep flowing. The audio steps aside on its own: it never clogs the queue, and it never takes notes and transcripts down with it.
Storage used, and how to free it without losing anything. Settings → Storage now shows how much your archive weighs. «Compress old recordings» brings them down to an eighth and they stay playable: you don't have to choose between space and memory.
Every point in your notes says where it came from
The minute, next to every point. Summary, decisions and tasks carry the minute that thing was said. Click it: Scribeo jumps to that spot in the recording and plays it. It's the difference between a summary you have to trust and one you can verify.
Pause
Pause without breaking the recording. From the note or from the menu bar — because when you need it (a phone call, something off the record) you're not inside Scribeo. The file stays a single one: in the audio, the pause simply doesn't exist. The clock stops with you.
Recording uses far less battery
In-person meetings no longer turn on screen capture. It was only there to grab the microphone, and it kept half the machine awake for the whole meeting.
The interface no longer redraws eight times a second while you record. On a laptop that's an hour of battery that stops burning for nothing.
Fixed: in an in-person meeting the recording could stop by itself after little more than a minute, mistaking the microphone's voice for silence.
Tasks, People and Decisions
Tasks can be filtered by «Mine», «no owner» and «no due date».
People: a person is one row — «3 pending · seen 2 days ago» — and the dossier opens on click. Whoever has something pending with you comes first.
Decisions: filter by project, grouped by month, with the last 90 days up front.
Smaller things: Return creates the folder and saves a rename · ⌘A selects all notes · starting a recording from another screen now takes you to the note.
1.36.0July 2026
Scribeo remembers the moments even when you're not looking at it
Mark a moment: ⌃⌥⌘M. During a video call you're in Zoom, not in Scribeo. Press the shortcut from any app — nothing opens, you don't lose the thread, and the menu bar icon blinks. After the call, that point of the meeting makes it into the notes: not as a separate section, but wherever it belongs (in the summary, in a decision, in a task).
A note on the fly: ⌃⌥⌘N. A bar appears in the middle of the screen, above the app you're working in — which stays active. Type, press Enter, it's gone. The note goes into the call in progress, or into today's notes.
The moments come back. In the “Transcript” tab you'll find the points you marked: one click and you replay from a little earlier — because whatever made you press it was said before you pressed.
While you record, the interface gets out of the way
Focus mode. When recording starts the sidebar folds away, leaving the meeting name, the running time and what you're writing. Afterwards everything comes back. If you reopen the sidebar during the call, Scribeo won't close it on you.
The note opens exactly where you need it
The memory line on the Home screen. Under the greeting, a single line reminds you of the thing you were supposed to keep in mind: “In the last call on X it was Y's turn…”. Click it and the note opens on that very line.
Assign an owner with one click, from the note or from the Tasks view: pick from the project's names. Tasks the AI leaves unassigned — because the call didn't make it clear who they belonged to, and guessing would be worse — stop being a dead end.
A safety net under your notes
Previous versions. Before any rewrite of a note — including the AI's, which is the most destructive — Scribeo keeps a copy of how it was. From the note's “…” menu you can review and restore them. Restoring keeps the current version too: even a restore can be undone. Versions stay on your computer and are not synced.
Fixes
The text that vanished. In the editor of a long note, selecting text could make the content disappear and come back. It was the layout engine, not your data — but watching your own note vanish is not acceptable, and it no longer happens.
The summary no longer repeats confidences. In real meetings people also say personal things. The summary now reports the work and leaves out the private aside around it: you share the notes, sometimes with the person themselves.
1.35.1July 2026
Fixes
Sync had gone missing in 1.35.0. That build was published by mistake without the iCloud component: anyone who installed it no longer saw the “Sync” section in settings, and notes stopped reaching the other Mac. No data was lost — everything stayed on the computer. Updating brings sync back, with your previous settings.
“New note” asks for a title and a project when you create it, instead of calling it “New note” and leaving you to rename it later. The project stays optional: you can always move the note into a folder afterwards.
More room for the text. Inside a note, the header (title, banner, tabs, attachments, preparation) ate half the screen on a 13-inch laptop, leaving the text a slit. The preparation box now folds away once you've prepared, and the explanations have moved into tooltips.
1.35.0July 2026
New
Prepare a meeting by saying what you'll talk about. The context you bring into a meeting doesn't live only in files: it lives in your head — “there's this call tomorrow, I need to talk about these things”. Now you say it in your own words, and Scribeo builds the brief around it, using everything it already knows: the linked previous calls, the project summary and names, your own notes and the attached documents. What you write stays in your notes and feeds the AI summary after the call: it doesn't evaporate in a chat.
Attachments are no longer silent files. Scribeo reads the text of the documents you attach to a note — PDF, Word and plain text. The client's pre-brief, the contract, the quote: they go into the brief, they answer in “Ask”, and they help the notes make sense of references people make during a call without explaining them (“as per the quote”, “clause 4”). The notes stay the record of what was said: the document is context, it doesn't get summarised.
“New note”. A note to prepare before the call, even when the meeting isn't in your calendar. Until now a note could only be born from a recording, an imported file or a calendar event.
“Ask” works before the meeting too. “What should I ask?”, “what was left open last time?”, “what does the attachment say about the price?”. Before, it only became available after the transcript. Any answer can be saved to your notes with one click.
Fixes
“Brief ready” now opens the note instead of reopening the preparation screen from scratch: you've already done that work, and it's inside the note.
Hover tooltips are now translated. In the English app they had all stayed in Italian.
Sharing says why it isn't available yet. On a note you're still preparing, the button stayed greyed out and silent: what gets shared is the meeting summary, which doesn't exist before the call (your own notes and the brief stay private).
Privacy: with attached documents used as context, it is no longer “only the text of the transcript” that is sent to the AI. The privacy page spells it out: only text is sent — never the audio, never the files as files.
1.34.0July 2026
New
Attachments now sync. The files you attach to a note — the client's pre-brief, a quote, a deck — now travel with the note across your Macs. Before, they stayed on the computer you added them from, and nothing told you: the note arrived on the other Mac without its attachments, indistinguishable from a note that never had any.
Same name, different contents? Both are kept. If you attach a “brief.pdf” here and a different “brief.pdf” on your other Mac, Scribeo doesn't pick one for you: it keeps both (one renamed) and tells you so on the note.
Over 25 MB, an attachment stays on its Mac. Large files would take up your iCloud storage, just as the audio would. When it happens the app tells you right away, and that file stays recognisable by a mark next to its name — even months later.
Fixes
Deleting a project now really propagates to your other Macs. Before, the deletion never reached the server: the project stayed there, and reappeared on the first resync from scratch.
An unreachable notes folder is no longer mistaken for “everything deleted”. If the disk holding your notes isn't mounted, or the folder has been moved, Scribeo now notices and propagates no deletions at all. When in doubt, nothing gets deleted.
1.33.1July 2026
Fixes
“Move notes to a local folder” now works from the Sync screen too. The button appears in two places — Storage and Sync — but from the latter it opened nothing: it looked dead. If you ran into it, the same button in Settings → Storage was doing its job all along.
1.33.0July 2026
New
Sync between your Macs. Notes, transcripts, actions, projects and people show up on every Mac where you use Scribeo. You turn it on yourself in Settings → Sync: it stays off until you do.
Changes merge, they don't overwrite. If you work on the same note from two Macs, the two versions are merged line by line — ticked actions included. That's the difference between syncing and overwriting: no change disappears in silence.
Your notes pass through your own private iCloud, never through our servers: we cannot see them. Audio recordings are not synced and stay on the Mac that recorded them — they're large files and would eat into your iCloud storage.
If you kept your notes inside iCloud Drive or Dropbox, Scribeo tells you and offers to move them to a local folder: it copies, checks the copy is identical to the original, and deletes nothing. The old folder stays where it is until you delete it yourself. Two sync systems can't share the same files: one overwrites where the other merges.
1.32.0July 2026
Fixes
Long calls no longer heat up your Mac. At the end of a meeting the app would stop — then start stopping again every two seconds, stacking up transcriptions. This was the old CPU spike, and it had been there since 1.22.
Transcription recovered. If you quit Scribeo while it's transcribing, the recording is no longer lost: it finds it and picks up where it left off. And if the disk is full, the audio is no longer deleted silently.
Renaming a project no longer loses its dictionary and summary, and notes in the trash follow it.
Sturdier notes across two Macs. The note open in the editor no longer overwrites changes coming from the other computer, and two identically worded actions no longer swap their checkmarks.
Search no longer freezes the window, and the "Recording in progress" pill is clickable across the whole row.
1.31.0July 2026
New
One less choice to make: Scribeo manages the recordings folder itself. Your notes stay Markdown files any editor can read, and Export all notes hands them over whenever you want. If you had already picked your own folder, it stays exactly where it is.
How's it going?: after your third generated note Scribeo asks one question, once. It sends nothing on its own — your email app opens, and it only goes if you hit send.
Project pill: at the top of a note it now shows its tooltip like all the others.
1.30.0July 2026
New
Every task with a name on it: AI notes call people by name instead of writing «Producer» or «Client». The name is also looked for in the meeting title, not just in what was said: if the note is called «Fausto (Pieghe) for the ecommerce», his tasks are signed by Fausto.
No guessed names: when it truly isn't clear who is meant, Scribeo keeps the generic role instead of picking at random between two people.
The project dictionary counts for more: generic roles are no longer mistaken for proper names, so the spellings you chose take precedence.
Back to the project in one click: the project pill at the top of a note now opens its summary.
1.29.0July 2026
New
Who said what: AI notes now tell you apart from the other person, so each task goes to whoever committed to it instead of piling up on you.
Recurring meetings: every occurrence in a series finally gets its own note. Before, today's meeting reopened the note — and the brief — from the previous one.
Easier merge people: a panel with search, avatars and open tasks, instead of a long drop-down list.
Clearer settings: switches instead of checkboxes, grouped sections, and each explanation next to the option it describes.
Audio: the option is now «Keep the audio after transcription» and it's on by default, so it's clear what you lose by turning it off (the player with clickable timestamps).
1.28.0July 2026
New
Merge people: the same person used to appear several times, because the recording calls them in different ways. Now you say it once and their dossier comes back together — tasks, decisions and meetings all in one place. You can always separate them again.
Merged people count as one in task chips and in «Trends» too.
More useful copy: the brief and «What's changed» land in the clipboard as clean text, ready to paste into an email.
1.27.0July 2026
New
Project dictionary: open a project and write down once the names that matter — clients, colleagues, products, acronyms. The AI will spell them right in the notes and in the transcript, even when the recording garbles them.
Scribeo suggests the names it has already seen in the project: add them with one click.
The dictionary syncs across your Macs, like projects and colours.
1.26.0July 2026
New
Featherweight updates: from now on Scribeo downloads only what changed — a few megabytes instead of the whole package. This is the last full-size update: the next ones will be almost instant.
The result of «What's changed since the last call» now has its own «Copy» button.
Some helper texts are bigger and more consistent, easier to read.
1.25.0July 2026
New
«What's changed since the last call»: open a project and with one click see what's changed between its two most recent meetings — decisions that evolved, new points, what's still open.
Cleaner sidebar: the old «Compare calls» entry is now built into the project, where it actually helps.
1.24.0July 2026
New
Share the transcript too: a shared note's web page can show two tabs, «Summary» and «Transcript» — you choose when you share it.
Shared notes: each note shows the pill of the project it belongs to.
Sharper tasks: the owner uses the person's real name when it comes up, instead of a generic «Client».
More legible helper texts (Transcript, Actions).
1.23.0July 2026
New
Smarter end of call: when the meeting ends, Scribeo stops the recording by itself and opens the note — even if you started it manually.
Lighter and sturdier on long calls: less memory during and after recording, and transcription holds up better on hour-long meetings (with automatic download of the audio from iCloud when needed).
Search your people: a search field at the top of the People section.
Shared notes: from a note's web page you can now download it as PDF or Markdown.
1.22.0July 2026
New
«Close the meeting»: at the bottom of the AI note you'll find three one-click actions — Draft an email follow-up, Help me decide and Check what's missing — to turn the note into something actionable.
Every result is a draft you can refine and copy: Scribeo prepares, you decide. No automatic sending.
1.21.0July 2026
New
Sharper AI notes: they fix the project's recurring proper names, quote key passages in the real words, skip off-topic chatter and use the right dates.
Task states: mark a task «waiting» or «delegated» and filter them. Overdue tasks now show in amber and decisions in green.
Pre-meeting brief with attendees from the event; the «Brief ready» button opens the note instead of redoing the brief.
«Also me»: tasks assigned to your nicknames are recognized as yours, with the «You» chip.
Home «in progress»: see when a recording or transcription is running, and the note opens by itself when a call ends. More legible note headings and summary detail chosen per note.
1.20.1July 2026
New
Fixed the app icon: removed the background that appeared behind the icon.
Folders stay sorted after syncing: a folder arriving from another Mac now slots into alphabetical order instead of staying at the bottom.
1.20.0July 2026
New
Reminder before meetings: a few minutes before a calendar video call you get a «Starting soon» notification with Record or Prepare note — so you never miss a call to record. It works even if you join muted.
More reliable call detection: Scribeo recognizes the mic even when you use headphones or a microphone other than the system default.
Share as PDF: a note can now be shared as a PDF too, in addition to Markdown and a web link.
New app icon and small interface refinements.
1.19.4July 2026
New
More reliable folder colors: fixed an issue where, when syncing across Macs, a newly assigned color could disappear or fail to reach the other Mac. It now stays put and propagates correctly.
The «Brief ready» badge and project summaries keep syncing across Macs (via iCloud, Dropbox or Google Drive).
1.19.3July 2026
New
More complete sync across Macs: the «Brief ready» badge, folder colors and project summaries now show up on your other Mac too (via iCloud), not just the one where you created them.
Fixed note–event linking across different Macs: a brief prepared on one Mac is now recognized on the other.
1.19.2July 2026
New
Brief-ready at a glance: once you've prepared the pre-meeting brief for an event on your calendar, the button shows «Brief ready» with a green check — so you don't generate it twice by mistake.
Small interface refinements (brief scrollbar, wording).
1.19.1July 2026
New
Delete actions: you can now delete a to-do, from the Actions list or right in the note. It goes to the Trash, where you can restore it anytime.
Small interface refinements.
1.19.0July 2026
New
More reliable transcription: fixed the repetitions that sometimes appeared on long recordings or with difficult audio; the transcript is also smoother to scroll.
Actions by project: group actions by project, see the owner at a glance as a tag («You» or the name), and jump to the meeting they come from with one tap.
Project summary: open a folder and read an AI-written summary of where you stand with that project, above the stats.
«People» reimagined: for each person, a card with their actions, the decisions that involved them and the meetings they appear in.
Edit a note's date: handy when you import audio recorded some time ago.
Folders & interface
Folders: assign a color, reorder by dragging (or with «Move up/down»), «Sort A→Z» and «Show more» when there are many.
Faster and more responsive app: instant navigation between sections.
A hand pointer on everything clickable, «My notes», a colored scrollbar in the transcript too, and lots of small refinements.
1.18.0July 2026
New
A fresh new look: a calmer, airier and more readable interface. Colors follow the theme you pick, with soft shadows, clearer notes and smooth scrolling.
Your profile: add your name and photo and Scribeo welcomes you and calls you by name when you ask it questions. You can also add your role and company for more tailored answers.
A new audio player with a waveform: replay your recordings with a nicer, clearer player.
«Trends»: a new section with the stats of your meetings — hours, open and closed actions, decisions, time per client and tasks per person.
AI model choice: with your own key, Scribeo shows the real models on your account, always up to date.
Improvements
A Back arrow to return to the section you came from, welcome greetings and many more polished details across the app.
1.17.2July 2026
Improvements
Faster, smoother transcription on long calls: on recordings of an hour or more the Transcript tab now scrolls without stutter and without spinning up the fans. Tap a line to play the audio from that point, instantly.
New Home button at the top to jump straight back to the dashboard.
Fixes
More reliable notifications: the recording-started, recording-ended and note-ready alerts now always appear as expected.
«Standard» summary is now truly complete: it could previously come out too brief even when you had chosen Standard.
1.17.1July 2026
New
Automatic, unobtrusive updates: new versions download on their own and install when you quit Scribeo — or right away, if you want, from the menu. They never interrupt your work. You can turn it off in Settings.
Fixes
Task text on the Home is now clean and readable (no more formatting symbols).
1.17.0July 2026
New
New dashboard Home: as soon as you open Scribeo you see what matters today — upcoming events, what's due today and quick access to “Ask Scribeo”.
Fixes
Dock badge: the number of actions due today now actually shows on the app icon.
Small interface refinements.
1.16.0July 2026
New
Transcript player: replay the recording while the text highlights itself, and tap a line to jump to that point in the audio.
Who spoke: in recorded video calls the transcript tells apart “You” and “Other party”, with nothing to set up.
Ask Scribeo: ask a question and the AI answers from all your notes (and your upcoming calendar events), citing the meetings the answer comes from.
Client summary: click a folder to see that client's meetings, open actions and decisions at a glance.
Compare calls: pick two meetings and Scribeo highlights what changed, what was decided and the next steps.
Improvements
More reliable Dock badge for today's due actions.
Small editor and interface improvements.
1.15.0July 2026
New
Powerful, instant search: find any word across all your notes and transcripts. Results are ranked by relevance, with a highlighted snippet (ignores case and accents) and, when you open a result, the term is highlighted inside the note.
Actions: all your meetings' to-dos in one place, grouped by due date, with the meeting they come from (click to jump there). Add a due date (with a time too) and it becomes a reminder in Apple Reminders; checking the action in Scribeo also completes the reminder.
Decisions: a log of the decisions made in your meetings, in chronological order, with their source.
People: for each owner, what they still have to do — handy for follow-ups.
Friendlier notes: notes show already formatted (clean preview), with a formatting bar and an editor that formats as you type. You can check boxes and set due dates right in the note.
Improvements
Sidebar counts next to Actions, Decisions, People, Shared and Trash.
Dock badge with the actions overdue or due today.
Update a shared note: if you edit an already-published note, a hint reminds you to update the online version (same link).
1.14.0July 2026
New
Summary detail level: choose between Concise, Standard and Detailed, per note (AI notes tab) or as your default in Settings → Artificial Intelligence.
Notes while recording: jot down notes as you record and Scribeo folds them into the AI summary automatically (including notes written before the call).
Import videos too (MP4, MOV, M4V…), alongside audio: Scribeo extracts the audio, transcribes and summarizes it.
Transcription language: pick the language of the audio to transcribe (Automatic, Italian, English, Spanish, French, German, Portuguese), independent from the app's language.
Menu bar status: while recording you always see the dot and the timer; during transcription and notes a "Working…" indicator.
"Join" for calls: opens the video call and asks whether to start recording too. With "Join without recording" you land straight on the event's note for your own notes.
Copy summary with one click from the note's action bar.
In-person meetings: a dedicated "In person — microphone only" label when recording a meeting without a call link.
Live transcription (on-device preview, optional): enable it in Settings → Recording (requires macOS Dictation). The final accurate transcription still runs at the end of the call.
Improvements
Less disk space: raw audio tracks are deleted automatically after transcription, keeping only a lightweight mix.
More readable Settings: larger, roomier text across all tabs.
Generate notes with one click: when a note has a transcription but no summary yet, a dedicated button generates it right away.
More reliable note re-integration: Scribeo detects on its own when your notes need to be folded back into the summary, no tricks needed.
Fixes
Clearer errors: if recording can't start (e.g. missing permissions) you now get a clear alert with a shortcut to Privacy settings.
Menu bar: icon and timer are now always legible on any background.
In-person meetings: no longer show incorrect labels while recording.
Interrupted recording: the recovery message no longer reappears on every launch after you choose "Ignore".
1.13.0June 2026
New
English support: Scribeo is now available in English. It follows your Mac's language automatically, and you can switch it anytime from Settings → Appearance → Language. AI notes and transcription follow the chosen language too.
Preferences backup: export your preferences (theme, language, AI provider, where to save, apps to ignore…) to a file and re-import them on another Mac to find everything already set up — no account needed.
1.12.0June 2026
New
Live events in the calendar: on the Home you also see in-person meetings (without a call link), with the "In person" label and a "Record" button to start recording right away and link it to the event.
Choose which calendars to show: if you have multiple calendars, decide which to display from the Home menu or in Settings → Calendar.
Formatted transcript: in the Transcript tab, "Format with AI" turns the raw text into a readable transcript (punctuation and paragraphs) without summarizing it — ideal for interviews, even long ones. You can switch between raw and formatted.
Export to Word: notes and transcripts exportable in Word format (.rtf), which Word and Pages open keeping the formatting.
Fixes
Privacy: when you delete a note you had shared, the public link is now revoked automatically (before, the web page stayed accessible to anyone with the link). If you're offline, the revocation is completed at the next connection.
1.11.0June 2026
New
Import an audio file you already have (MP3, M4A, WAV) from the icon at the top: Scribeo transcribes and summarizes it like a recording.
Open a note from Spotlight, notifications and the menu: Scribeo now comes to the front on the right note, even if the window was closed.
1.10.4June 2026
Fixes
Microphone waveform: it now moves with your voice too (before, it only reacted to the other party's audio).
1.10.3June 2026
Improvements
A sound when recording starts, so it doesn't go unnoticed.
1.10.2June 2026
Fixes
The waveform is now responsive while recording on every Mac (before, it could stay flat).
1.10.1June 2026
Fixes
More responsive waveform while recording (on some Macs it could look flat).
More visible “Note ready” notification on screen.
1.10.0June 2026
New
Live waveform while recording: you can see at a glance that Scribeo is hearing you (mic + other party).
Global shortcut ⌃⌥⌘R: start or stop recording from any app, without even opening Scribeo.
Menu bar menu: your next call, with the “Join” and “Prepare note” buttons.
“Note ready” notification with quick actions: open the note or copy the summary right away.
macOS search (Spotlight): your notes can now be found and opened straight from Spotlight.
1.9.1June 2026
Improvements
“Ask” stays on topic: it now answers only about what's in your meeting, and politely declines off-topic requests.
Snappier conversations: long chats in “Ask” are faster and lighter.
More timely updates: Scribeo checks for new versions at launch and while it's open, so it offers them to you right away.
1.9.0June 2026
New
Pre-meeting brief: before a call from your calendar, hit “Brief” and the AI prepares a summary — last time, decisions, open tasks, points to clear up, suggested questions and an agenda — starting from the previous linked calls. You can copy it or save it straight into the note.
“Ask” becomes a conversation: ask follow-up questions and the AI keeps track of what you've already asked. Conversations stay saved inside the note.
Improvements
A roomier question box, sent with the Return key; while the AI works you see a “Thinking…” indicator.
Keyboard shortcuts: ⌘N starts/stops recording, ⌘F jumps to search, ⌘P prints the note.
Note count: every folder shows how many notes it holds.
1.8.0June 2026
New
First-launch walkthrough: a short setup takes you through the permissions (microphone, screen recording, calendar, notifications) and how you want to use the AI.
Automatic updates: new versions download and install by themselves. Scribeo relaunches already updated — nothing to drag into Applications.
Report a problem: from Settings you can send support a report with a technical summary attached (version, system, permissions — none of your notes' content).
Improvements
Redesigned Settings: now split into clear sections (Appearance, Recording, Artificial Intelligence, Storage, Sharing, About).
Cleaner note: actions are gathered into the Share, Export and More menus, with more room and better legibility.
Length and status at a glance: recent recordings show the duration and whether the note is shared or private.
Recording too short: if a recording holds too little speech, Scribeo tells you instead of creating a note that's no use.
1.7.0June 2026
New
Scribeo AI included: notes work straight away, with no key to configure. You get a set of summaries included, and with an invite code you get more. You can always use your own AI key (Claude, OpenAI, Gemini) by picking another provider in Settings.
A discreet reminder: a pill at the top tells you when you're using Scribeo AI and how many included summaries you have left.
Fixes
Deleted empty folders: an empty folder deleted on one Mac no longer “reappears” after syncing with another.
Improvements
Folders as you left them: the app remembers whether you left folders open or closed, even after a restart.
Interface: the “Join” button (to enter the video call) is now the prominent one, and folder names stand out better from notes.
1.6.1June 2026
Fixes
Reliable audio indicators: the “Your audio / Other party detected” indicators and the audio warning are now based on the audio actually recorded — no more false “No audio detected” while you're speaking.
Improvements
Shared note page: bigger, better-crafted icons, and the Copy button now copies the text as Markdown.
Legibility: some texts and buttons are a little bigger.
1.6.0June 2026
New
Prepare the note before the call: from a calendar event you create a note that's already linked, jot your notes in it, and the recording lands in the same note. You can also join the video call straight from the note.
Use the app while recording: browse and rename other notes without stopping the recording. A status pill is always visible and takes you back to the note in progress.
More reliable recording: “Your audio / Other party detected” indicators, warnings if the audio is missing or the recording stops, and automatic recovery after an unexpected quit.
Empty folders synced: a folder with no notes now shows up on your other Macs too.
In-app updates: download the new version with a progress bar, no trip through the browser.
More legible interface: bigger text where it was smallest.
Fixes
Sharing notes on protected networks: a clear message and an automatic retry when the network or a corporate firewall blocks the secure connection.
1.5.1June 2026
Fixes
Duplicate folders after syncing: in some cases, after syncing between Macs, the same folder could show up twice (for example with slightly different capitalization), one of them empty. Folders are now recognized as the same one and merged automatically.
1.5.0June 2026
New
An airier interface: more generous spacing, soft corners and a light background for a cleaner, more readable look, inspired by the best productivity apps.
New fruit themes: Mirtillo, Ciliegia, Mandarino, Limone, Lime, Lampone, Uva and Prugna. Mirtillo (blue) is the new default theme.
New icon: white, with the Mirtillo mark.
Fixes
Synced folders: folders now follow their notes across different Macs. Notes no longer jump out of their folder after syncing with iCloud Drive or Dropbox.
Repeated iCloud prompt: if macOS asks for iCloud Drive access at every launch, Settings → Advanced now has a guide to granting Full Disk Access once and for all.
1.4.2June 2026
Fixes
Calendar access: fixed the issue where the “Allow Calendar access” button didn't bring up the permission request. Calendar events (Google ones too) now show correctly on the Home screen.
1.4.1June 2026
Improvements
Sync notes: a new button in the toolbar to re-read your notes right away when iCloud Drive or Dropbox has synced them from another Mac, without reopening the app. Notes also refresh automatically every time you come back to Scribeo.
More reliable Calendar access: the permission request now fires only when you press the button, and if access had been denied Scribeo takes you straight to System Settings.
1.4.0June 2026
New
Full themes: in Settings → Appearance pick between Graphite, Nord, Solar, Rosé, Forest and Slate — each one changes background, text and accent, with light and dark variants.
Install without warnings: Scribeo is now signed and notarized by Apple. It opens with a double click — no more “right click → Open”.
“Fold in your notes” prompt: when you edit “Your notes”, a reminder invites you to regenerate the AI notes so they take them into account.
What's new screen: after an update you see a summary of the new features.
Improvements
Transcription on the GPU: Whisper now uses the Mac's GPU (Metal) instead of the CPU alone — faster, and without spinning the fans up on long recordings.
Bigger, more legible toolbar icons and folder names; cleaner status icons while recording.
Links to the site, the guide and what's new, right in Settings → About.
1.3.0June 2026
New
Edit the AI notes: in the “AI notes” tab you can now switch from “Preview” to “Write” and fix or add to the text by hand. Changes are saved automatically.
Fixes
A note restored from the trash whose folder had been deleted in the meantime is no longer left “orphaned” and invisible: it comes back among the recordings and can be moved or deleted.
Icon tooltips are no longer cut off by the edge of the window.
1.2.0June 2026
New
Automatic updates: Scribeo checks whether a new version is available and tells you, with a link to download it. You can also check whenever you like from the menu bar → “Check for updates…”.
1.1.0June 2026
New
Recording notification: while it records you see an alert with a “Stop” button, and the menu bar icon turns red.
“Ask before recording”: instead of starting on its own, Scribeo asks you to confirm when it detects a call.
Apps to ignore: pick the apps (e.g. Screen Studio) during which automatic recording shouldn't start.
Multiple selection of notes, to move or delete several at once.
Export to PDF, alongside Markdown.
Empty the trash in a single move.
A new menu bar logo, macOS style.
Improvements
Renaming notes now syncs reliably on Google Drive and Dropbox too.
When you unshare a note, the link shows a page explaining that the note is no longer available (no more “Not Found”).
The dark theme follows your system settings automatically.
1.0.0June 2026

Automatic recording of the microphone and system audio when a call starts.
